Self-declaration of Food Products
After obtaining a Food Safety Certificate, Vietnamese law requires manufacturers (for domestic food products) to self-declare the quality of the following products before launching them onto the Vietnamese market: (i) Processed, (ii)Prepackaged foods; (iii)Additives; (iv)Processing aids; (v)Tools, (vi)Packaging Materials, (vii) Food containers (collectively referred to as food related products).
While the self-declaration depends on the actual quality of each food related product, our structured approach helps minimize uncertainty, reduce procedural risks, and improve submission quality.
You will be support through the following roadmap:
Step1: Send your initial documents (as listed below) to us (to our email). We contact you back with our free initial consultation tailored for your specific case on the compliance readiness, and the reasonable quotation and timeline for the further service.
Step 2: If you want us to further assist in preparing and submitting the dossiers for the Self-declaration of Food Product, we will send the legal contract for your consideration and engagement.
Step 3: We advise on legal and regulatory requirements in details, preparing application dossiers, and submitting the dossier on your behalf, and support working with authorities throughout the process.
If you want to have our assistance, kindly provide us with the following initial documents:
1. Copy of Enterprise Registration Certificate
Note: If the manufacturing site is a branch or business location, please also provide 01 certified copy of the Branch Operation Certificate and the Business Location Registration Certificate.
2. Copy of Certificate of eligibility for food safety or other valid equivalent certificates (e.g., HACCP, IFSI, GMP, BRC, FSSC 22000, or ISO 22000) (if any).
3. Product testing results meeting food safety requirements by a competent testing institution;
Note:
(i) The testing results are valid for 12 months from the date of issuance.
(ii) In case your enterprise has not obtained the testing results and requires support, we can assist in referring your request to a qualified testing organization. The testing fee will be charged directly by such testing organization, together with a valid VAT invoice issued to your enterprise.
