In Vietnam, there is currently no regulation requiring businesses to use barcodes for their products. Therefore, enterprises may choose to register and use barcodes depending on their operational needs, as barcodes can help facilitate production and business activities. However, once a company decides to use barcodes, registration with the Directorate for Standards, Metrology and Quality (STAMEQ/GS1 Vietnam) is required.

If you need assistance with barcode registration, simply provide us with (i) a certified copy of your Enterprise Registration Certificate and (ii) the List of Products to Be Assigned Barcodes (using our template), we will complete the rest.

Note: If you have another barcode beforehand which has been revoked/out of date, please also let us know.

As there are some specific requirements of the Vietnamese law on the use and maintain of the barcodes, after obtaining the barcode registration, we will further instruct how to use and manage the registered barcode correctly.

Kindly contact us for dedicated advisory support.
